Net Metering
Ontario’s net metering regulation is intended to help you manage your energy costs.
If you can generate part of your energy needs through renewable energy sources such as wind, water, solar or agriculture biomass, then net metering is one way you can save money on your electricity bill.
If you can generate more electricity than you use, you may want to consider installing a separate meter and pursuing opportunities under the Ontario Power Authority’s Standard Offer.
